Lucidity Health

Welcome to your health journey…

Meet Megan Rutherford

ARNP, PMHNP-BC

With 16 years of nursing experience, I bring a deep understanding of the need for compassionate and accessible mental health care.

My practice focuses on providing evidence-based medication management within a supportive therapeutic framework. While medication management is my specialty, if we determine that medication isn’t the right path for you, I’m committed to connecting you with the appropriate therapeutic support to meet your needs.

Having encountered a wide spectrum of human experiences, I approach each person with empathy and respect, recognizing that every journey is unique.

I believe that the narratives we carry, often shaped by negative thoughts or painful experiences, do not have to define us.

Together, we will work to understand and transform these beliefs, helping to uncover strengths and inherent self-worth. My goal is to help individuals cultivate self-compassion, fostering resilience and an openness to embrace all parts of themselves.

What’s a PMHNP?

Primary Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Primary mental health nurse practitioners are advanced practice registered nurses who focus on the mental health needs of patients, providing assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of mental health conditions.

They can prescribe psychiatric medication like a medical doctor. As primary healthcare providers, they often collaborate with other healthcare professionals, helping ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care.

Lucidity means

The word "lucidity" evokes a sense of clarity and sharpness, both in thought and perception.

It suggests a moment of mental or emotional transparency where everything seems to fall into place, and one can see or understand things with heightened awareness. Lucidity feels like a state free from confusion or fog, whether it's in the context of thinking clearly or in dreaming vividly. It also hints at a kind of peacefulness that comes with seeing things as they truly are, unobstructed by illusions or distractions.

In a deeper sense, lucidity can feel like a moment of truth—an insight into oneself or the world where complexities dissolve, and simplicity shines through.

You are not alone on this journey, and together, we can explore a path to healing that truly honors who you are.

Let’s begin by understanding and embracing the person within, recognizing that lasting change comes through acceptance. We’ll work together to determine the right combination of diet, exercise, and lifestyle changes that fit your needs, and if necessary, explore whether medication could be helpful option. Through this holistic and compassionate approach, you can create the foundation for lasting well-being and self-love.
