Meet Megan Rutherford

With 16 years of nursing experience, I understand that mental health care must be both compassionate and highly accessible.

My practice specializes in evidence-based medication management integrated within a supportive therapeutic framework. While pharmacotherapy is my primary focus, I am committed to clinical integrity; if medication is not indicated, I will facilitate a connection to the appropriate therapeutic resources to ensure your needs are met.

Having worked across a broad clinical spectrum, I approach every individual with empathy and a respect for their unique trajectory. I believe that personal narratives shaped by trauma or cognitive distortions do not define one's identity.

Together, we will work to deconstruct limiting beliefs and uncover your inherent strengths. My objective is to help you cultivate the self-compassion and resilience necessary to authentically embrace every part of your journey.

Primary Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Primary mental health nurse practitioners are advanced practice registered nurses who focus on the mental health needs of patients, providing assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of mental health conditions.

They can prescribe psychiatric medication like a medical doctor. As primary healthcare providers, they often collaborate with other healthcare professionals, helping ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care.

Lucidity means

The word "lucidity" evokes a sense of clarity and sharpness, both in thought and perception.

Lucidity feels like a state free from confusion or fog, whether it's in the context of thinking clearly or in dreaming vividly.
